Spring 2008 Update

We are right in the middle of a classic equinoctial  spring weather bout. Changeable conditions, lots of showers, cold spells followed by humid warm weather.
The economy is having spring moods too. What better time to go hunting to keep those household bills down. As spring growth begins in the mountains and young animals are weaned and unwary this is a good time to stock up on tender meat in the freezer for holiday season barbecues.
And with the chance of good South Island snows right up to December there may be chances for a good tahr or chamois without having to climb so high.
If the river and side-streams are too flooded to go hunting then its a great time to check out our new hunting books and DVD's.  Pick of the bunch is by renowned author Bruce Banwell's : The Golden Days of Stalking: the Hunting Diaries of Archie Kitto.  This is aA well edited and well illustrated account of the good old days in South Westland and Otago.
Finally, we have decided to make our own contribution to the New Zealand's recovery from recession by continuing to make make postage within New Zealand post free for now. We are also happy to gift wrap and include a card with a personal message if you wish.

          Happy hunting
